Personal Branding
Experimental TypeBooklet + Business Cards
2” x 2” Business Cards
4.5” x 6” Booklet
Typefaces: Gothicus Regular
This project focused on self-branding, friedicedesigns. The objective was to market
yourself to others by creating business cards and a physical portfolio sample
booklet. For the color aspect it was decided to limit the color palette to a maximum of three colors for a minimalist approach. The Blackletter typeface chosen
was to represent a personal interest of the gothic subculture. The twenty-two
paged portfolio booklet consists of works from my personal collection. The same
works can be found on this website as this book is a physical version.
The sample booklet entitled “The Light at the End of the Tunnel” symbolizes the achievement of finishing something grand and to always celebrate your failures not just successes.

Celebrity Campaign
Logo ExplorationBiographical Booklet
5.5” x 8” Booklet
Typefaces: Avenir - Black + Roman, Stronger
For this campaign, the main goal was to create a personality
booklet about a celebrity of your choice. Brandon Beck
the Co-founder of Riot Games and the Co-creator of their popular game, League of Legends was chosen for this project. This booklet showcases Beck’s life from early
college years, to co-creating the game, and eventually to co-creating the
company. It was decided that his nickname “Ryze” would be the main logo behind
this piece as it was the name given to him by his fellow friends during
college. Additionally, the name “Ryze’” would become a playable character in the game, League
of Legends.
The color scheme of black and red mimics Riot Games’ minimalistic logo. During the logo design process, “Ryze” would be in bolded letters to showcase Beck’s strong leadership and loyalty to his work. The “Z” in “Ryze” was chosen to stand out with the use of red as Beck can also be an easy-going person as well as being conceptually artistic.
While crafting the physical booklet, the visuals are the main focal point to this piece. It was decided to show an older promotional art piece for the game, League of Legends; after that, it transitions to a newer promotional art piece on the following page.
*Process book will be added at a later date.

Typographical Timeline
Pamphlet / Type Study34” x 8” Pamphlet
Typefaces: Rotunda, Garamond, Baskerville, Didot, Rockwell, Futura
For this project, the main goal was to showcase common
typefaces used through the centuries, their families, and the history. The main
idea was to create a focal point for each different typeface with the use of
bolding the family showcased.
During the construction phase of the physical piece, it was decided to go with an accordion styled fold pamphlet. Although the dimensions are odd, this was printed on calligraphy paper because the idea was to have the pamphlet feel old-fashioned with its style of texture when the viewer held it.
